Jay Alaimo (born James Joseph Alaimo III, 1972, in Suffield, Connecticut) is an American film director, writer and producer.
He graduated from Roanoke College where he was a member of Alpha Psi Omega.[1]
Alaimo's first film, Pretzel, was made in 2001 which he wrote, directed, produced and appeared in as "Pierre Alexander".[2] He then co-wrote, directed and co-produced Slingshot, which had its world premiere at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival.[3] In 2006, he directed episodes of the television series Scrubs.[4] In 2010, he directed an independent film called Chlorine, starring Kyra Sedgwick and Vincent D'Onofrio.[5]
As of September 2011, Alaimo is in pre-production for his third feature film, titled Chronicle, with Ryan Phillippe, Justin Long, and John Hawkes attached to star. Kate Mara and Milla Jovovich to co-star. [6] Most recently, Alaimo wrapped principal photography, directing a new feature film titled The Wicked Within (September 2011).
